Amanda Schmitt
Amanda Schmitt is a Project Manager and the Chief Operating Officer of Light-Ten. She enjoys working with startups and executives to create branded educational experiences fostering personal and professional development and community growth. After working in startups for over a decade, Amanda has learned the value of cross-functional teamwork to develop and implement project plans and processes that encourage company growth, align with marketing strategies, ensure financial stability, and meet company goals and objectives. She understands the importance of developing rapport, building credibility, and maintaining communication with stakeholders at multiple levels, including external organizations.
Amanda has been paramount in the success of several startup companies in San Diego, CA, that provide STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) education and hands-on learning opportunities. She is an active member of the San Diego STEM Ecosystem, Women in STEM Working Group. With an educational background in pharmacy, she was uniquely qualified to work with Light-Ten in their partnership with GMDP Academy.
